 Title- Frame assembly 2D meshing along with connections.

Aim- To mesh the Frame assembly with 2D meshing and assigning the proper connection such as spot welds, adhesive, and bolt connection.

Objective- 

  1. Mesh the assembly.
  2. assign material and property.
  3. assign the connections.
  4. check the connectivity.
Procedure-
  1. Import the geometry into Hypermesh GUI. Have a thorough look at the geometry; either there are any similarities to reflect the other to reduce the time.
  2. Split the geometry with the help of organize tab SHIFT+F11. Transfer the items from the basic model to renamed components for proper consideration and visualisation of the geomtrty.
  3. As we can reflect some of the parts we will only mesh remaining.
  4. Meshing of the components being as follows-





  5. Now we will perform the connection for the assembly such as bolts, spots, and adhesives as per the given criterion.



  6. Save the file.
Conclusion-
  1. Meshing on the frame assembly with 2D meshing is successful.
  2. All the connections are assigned as well as realized.

 Holder clip is general purpose component used in daily life. Holder clip is a sheet metal component made up of materials such as steel or Mild steel.  Objective- To Mesh the given component as per required criterion. Methodology-   Import the geometry into solver deck Firstly delete the solids in the geometry Now extract the midsurface from the geometry from Geometry panel>midsurface Before going further to mesh component, cleanup is been carried out> deleting the surface and edge fillets from defeature panel. The final mesh is generated as per requirements. Procedure-  Conclusion- Mid surface extraction is successfully carried out. 2D mesh generated fulfills the required parameters.
